Many privately owned businesses and residential areas are growing as more people come to live in the Boston area. Multiple MBTA stops and future stops near the end of the orange line and some stops on the silver line are becoming more residential and hugely populated.
The end of the orange line has become a residential stop for many people. Between Wellington and Sullivan Square there is another stop being built and multiple residences and businesses have now developed. Soon this place will be buzzing with life.
Boston has long been a booming business town but didn’t have much of a subway system. Now however, the system has expanded accompanied by a growth in residential structures at multiple stops on the Boston “T”. It is surprising to me how much the MBTA has affected the influx of people and amount of residential areas.
The World Trade Center skyline and convention center (below) show how businesses and apartments have come about. Twenty years earlier this area was open space, now as you can see it is bustling with life. I even expect at least another residential block in the next five years.
